I haven't tried to uninstall/reinstall Webroot yet, I would like to hear if there is an alternative way to fix this issue first? If not, I'll give that a try and hopefully the fresh install will override Windows Defender. It says its been doing scans periodically. Just to clarify, I do have the latest version of Webroot (9.0.1.35).

Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command. I see down at the bottom of that window that there is a button that says I should be able to turn "On" Webroot but its permanently greyed out. On Windows 10 Pro, it's possible to use the Group Policy Editor to disable the Windows Defender Antivirus permanently. It says Windows Defender is "On" and Webroot is "Off". Turns out that even though I have Webroot installed and it looks to be running, my computer is using Windows Defender instead. So I went into Security & Maintenance to check to see what was going on. But I just noticed looking through my services in Task Manager that a service that Windows Defender uses was running. It looks like the software is running fine, I can pull up the UI and it says that Realtime Shield is active and such. I've recently noticed something strange about Webroot on my Windows 10 computer.
